KinderHaus invites children into a nurturing, language-rich environment filled with creativity, movement, nature, storytelling, and hands-on discovery. Rooted in our multilingual model, each day is designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and support developmental growth across languages and cultures.

Classical Music & Movement

Unlock your child’s musical curiosity through a joyful introduction to the world of classical music. Whether it’s Vivaldi’s Four Seasons or Mozart’s Magic Flute, children explore music not just by listening, but by moving, playing, and expressing through rhythm, dance, visual art, and storytelling. With instruments like the piano and percussive tools, children are immersed in musical language while strengthening memory, concentration, and emotional expression.

Young Forest Explorers

Inspired by the Waldkindergarten model, this outdoor-based program transforms nature into a living classroom. Guided by experienced educators, children explore Prospect Park and other natural settings, discovering wildlife, engaging in imaginative play, and developing resilience, collaboration, and curiosity through seasonal outdoor experiences. This program fosters a deep connection to nature and supports physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Culinary Adventures

In our hands-on cooking club, little chefs explore ingredients from around the world while building essential life skills. Children learn about nutrition, food origins, and cultural traditions as they chop, mix, and taste their way through diverse recipes. Culinary activities enhance fine motor development, teamwork, and problem-solving, all while promoting a joyful connection to healthy eating–and expanding multilingual vocabulary through food!

Creative Movement & Games

This energetic program helps children channel their energy through structured play, body awareness, and imagination. From obstacle courses to fantasy adventures, children use movement to express ideas, explore emotions, and connect with peers. Designed to build coordination, confidence, and creative expression, this is a favorite for children who love to move and dream big.

Art Club – Atelier 312

Welcome to our vibrant studio space, Atelier 312, where children are encouraged to express themselves freely through painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media. Inspired by Arno Stern’s pedagogical philosophy (Ausdrucksmalen), our art club emphasizes the creative process over product. Children explore techniques, styles, and master artists while nurturing fine motor skills, self-expression, and collaborative joy. Each day is a new opportunity to dive into color, texture, and imagination.

Reading & Writing in German/French/Spanish

This literacy-focused enrichment supports foundational skills in reading and writing in various languages. Through phonics-based activities, early grammar practice, storytelling, and creative expression, children gain confidence in their language abilities in a playful and age-appropriate way. Small groups are organized by skill level to ensure individualized support.

Kamishibai Story Theater

Dive into the world of visual storytelling with Kamishibai, the traditional Japanese “paper theater.” Using illustrated story cards, children explore tales like Die Raupe Nimmersatt and Der Grolltroll through narration, repetition, and creative reenactment. This immersive storytelling method strengthens concentration, sequencing, memory, and empowers children to imagine–and even reshape–their own endings.
